Angelcare® Movement and Sound Monitor detects your baby's slightest movements, even while baby is asleep. While it may seem that your baby is perfectly still sleeping, it isn’t. An alarm will sound alerting you to check your baby only if absolutely still for 20 seconds and no movement whatsoever is detected.

FACTS: During the initial 12 months of life, your baby can experience irregular breathing patterns or even stop breathing completely. No one really knows why. It can happen to premature or full term baby, healthy or not.

The under-the-mattress Sensor Pad detects your baby's slightest movements. If your baby goes absolutely still for 20 seconds, the Sensor Pad sends a signal to the Nursery Unit which sounds an alarm alerting you to check your baby. If you are out of the baby's room, the portable Parents' Unit (Sound Monitor) will pick up the alarm as well as other nursery sounds. In addition, the Nursery Unit has an optional "tic" feature. If the Sensor Pad senses movement, the Nursery Unit will continuously tick. If it doesn't, the ticking will stop.

Your crib must have a hard flat surface. If it does not, just place a piece of hard board under the mattress and place the Sensor Pad on top of the board and under the mattress. Be sure to place the correct side of the Sensor Pad facing up.

This hi-tech equipment combines the achievements of a high-quality sound monitor with sensitive movement control and it unites with it all the important functions of a baby monitoring equipment. The sensor pad under the mattress registers the slightest movements of the baby - on the entire couch surface; even its breathing movements. If longer than 20 seconds of no movement was detected, Angelcare® alarm will be activated.

The new digital technology with a transmission frequency from 2,400 MHz to 3 transmitting channels, combined with a safety coded pilot-tone, offers greatest possible freedom from interference. All monitoring functions can be adjusted individually: sound only, movements only or sound and movements (with or without tic). The AC 301 is flexible and multi-functional, suitable for different stages of your baby's development.

The new Angelcare® Monitor unit was developed in close co-operation with a German electrical smog expert: The result: Transmitters (Nursery Unit), Receivers (Parent Unit) and sensor pad are completely free from electrical and magnetic fields in battery and line operation. In addition range control can be switched off with this new Angelcare®. Such a function enables the transmitters to monitor and to send signals to the receivers regularly. Angelcare® offers the possibility of using this useful function only if it is really needed.

In the recent OKO TEST (Nov/2005) in Germany, 23 different baby monitors were tested. Nearly half of the devices received the note "unsatisfactory" due to their high electrical smog load; or "insufficient". Only two - under it Angelcare® - held in the line operation of critical scientists and medical profession of recommended limit values for electrical Alternating fields (10 V per meter). Model AC301-R (Rechargeable)

The pre-installed NiMh rechargeable batteries need to be charged for 15 hours continuously before first-time use. To charge, connect the AC adapter to the Parents Unit. Plug AC adapter to an electrical outlet. The batteries will charge as long as it is connected to a powered AC adapter. The position of the switches will not effect charging.

For longest battery life, recharge the Parents Unit when the orange Low Battery light flashes. Batteries need to be charged for 12 hours continuously.

NOTE: Only the Parents Unit is rechargeable in Model AC301-R.
